Background
- Graphic communication has undergone and is undergoing deep changes. One the one hand, they have been affected by an even more digitalised pre-publish plannig and on the other hand, more powerful tools that change, among other things, the relation between productivity and production costs: new techniques to set up and assimilate, which saves time with relation to competitors, but also shortens the lasting of the investment.

- The purpose of the Silographic project is to set up learning resources for CAP (computer-aided publishing) experts, enabling the latter to work more efficiently and to face the introduction of new working methodologies resulting from the emergence of new technologies, while on their workplace. Each partner country is specialized in one sector of the graphics industry: cartography for France, silk-screen printing for Spain, book publishing for Italy, corporation identity for Portugal, infography for Romania and printing quality for Sweden. The Pays Basque Agency of the NTIC is the coordinator and the school of art is the project manager.
